Trysil

Trysil is a doubleknit shawl with traditional Norwegian stars/snowflakes.

Trysil itself is a town in the mountains of eastern Norway. It is a famous ski resort, offering both downhill skiing and cross country trails.

It’s fully reversible, and the size is adjustable in pattern. It can be knit in a variety of yarn weights, from light fingering to DK – as shown, it’s knit in light fingering weight.

The pattern is charted and includes detailed instructions for 2 different methods of double-knitting.

Finished measurements: adjustable in pattern. As shown: Width: 55 in (140 cm), Height: 27.5 in (70 cm)

Yarn: 2 x 200 g of fingering weight yarn in contrasting colours.

Sample: 2 skeins Anzula Haiku [70% merino 20% bamboo, 10% nylon; 450 yds/411 m per 100 g] in Toffee, and 2 skeins Anzula Haiku Way [70% merino 20% bamboo, 10% nylon; 450 yds/411 m per 100 g] in Au Natural

Needles: 2.75 mm circular needles

Gauge: 20 sts x 36 rows = 10 cm doubleknit in pattern, blocked.
