She’s Like the Swallow is the second shawl (along with Havsfrun and Jeg Lagde Meg) in a set of three shawls released as part of the Folk Song KAL.
She’s Like the Swallow is a well known folk song from the Maritimes (Canada) in which a fair maiden picks flowers for her beloved and he spurns her.The shawl shows all the prim-roses she plucked for him and one can imagine the shawl enveloping the maiden as she lays down with her broken heart. The shawl is knit from the center out. The pattern is charted, with lace patterning on every other row. $8.00
