I have just been given several knitting related gifts from my grandmother-in-law.
I got 4 vintage pattern books
Some of the patterns were actually rather stylish. And most of them had nice stitches and patterns on the sweaters that can be borrowed for other projects. In fact, it’s mostly the people (and the haircuts) that make it look less than recent. ….oh, and in some cases the colour-choices.
She also gave me this crocheted teacozy. The thread is ever so thin and it must have taken her quite some time to make it. She made it when she was 16.
