The Falling In Love socks are complete. I’m really pleased with the result. They fit very well and will definitely stay up on the leg.
The yarn I used, indigo Apple Laine from Russell, Ontario, is wonderful. It was very nice to work with, and – call me crazy – it smells lovely. I will definitely use more Apple Laine yarn in the future. In fact, I have already stocked up with a few skeins of various colours – Sunny Days, Chianti, and Arizona.
I can’t believe I’m thinking this, but I may have caught the sock-bug. It’s a really nice size project, particularly for traveling. And since we will be traveling a fair bit this summer, it’s safe to say that I will be knitting more socks.
I’m sure you’ve all noticed the NHL playoffs are over, and the Senators did not win. But I did finish these socks at the end of the finals – in fact I was binding off as the cup was awarded to the evil Ducks. So I must thank the Sens for a good run and lots of evening knitting time.
