Difficult times

I have cast on a new project. One in which I don’t really have to think while knitting.
We had a death in the family, and that has of course taken most of my time and energy. It’s been a difficult couple of days for all of us, and I have to thank my friends who have helped me with the kids. I’m sure the next week or so will also be difficult, with the funeral and funeral guests.

The pattern is Snowy Triangle Scarf from Handknit Holiday by Melanie Falick. I’m using a denim blue yarn with some shades of gray and black from Lang Yarns (Tosca). It’s 55% wool and 45% acrylic, 92 m per 50 g skein, and 7.0 mm needles. I imagine I will use 2 skeins, as that is what I have.
