Every cottage needs a few handknitted afghans. Here is a box-stitched afghan, knit in oatmeal and taupe worsted weight yarn (needle size 5.5 mm). It’s knit in 5 strips, each 6 squares long, and then stitched together. I opted to not add any tassels, so that it’s more comfortable if sleeping under it.
